The core principle is to use the heat generated by the combustion of the auxiliary fuel to raise the exhaust gas temperature to the reaction temperature (usually >700 ° C), so that the harmful components are fully oxidized to CO₂ and H₂O under sufficient oxygen, suitable residence time and turbulent conditions. When the exhaust gas concentration reaches a certain threshold, the system can achieve thermal self-equilibrium without the need for additional fuel.
