The most significant contrast is that the blue film pass rate and production efficiency are relatively low, with the current highest efficiency being only 6PPM, while the UV coating pass rate and production efficiency are higher, with the battery cell UV coating currently reaching 60PPM. The significant improvement in production efficiency can significantly save costs.
The advantages of the UV insulation coating solution compared to other solutions are: 1. Short curing time and high production efficiency. According to the data of the glue I choose public account, PET insulation film does not need to be cured, while the UV insulation coating curing time is only 0.1 minutes, which is much shorter than the curing time of 10 to 30 minutes required for heating of powder coating and epoxy coating. 2. High bonding strength. The failure mode of UV insulation coating is the cohesive failure of the coating itself, that is, the bonding force between the coating and the structural adhesive and the battery shell is greater than the cohesive force of the coating itself. 3. More uniform coverage. The UV insulation coating has an extremely short curing time, and the solid particles can be directly and evenly fixed on the surface of the power battery, without the problem of vertical flow. UV insulating coating not only makes up for the shortcomings of "blue film", but also outperforms powder coating and epoxy coating in other key performance aspects. It is a "pentagonal warrior" without obvious shortcomings and is a feasible solution to replace PET blue film.
