Flat heat pipes are a type of heat pipe with a flat tube structure. Compared with traditional round heat pipes, they have more uniform heat conduction and better heat transfer efficiency, making them more suitable for high-power and high-efficiency electronic devices. Flat heat pipes can be used in the cooling system of computers, liquid crystal displays, etc. to improve heat dissipation efficiency and maintain system stability.
Flat heat pipes work on the principle of phase change heat transfer. When the heat source is applied to one end of the heat pipe, the working fluid evaporates into vapor due to the heat input. The vapor then travels to the cooler end of the heat pipe, where it condenses back into liquid. The capillary action provided by the wick structure helps to transport the liquid back to the heat source end, completing the cycle.
